Customer Spotlight – Classic Hardware by Karyn Cantor

Classic Hardware by Karyn Cantor is a vintage inspired  jewelry and accessories company established in 1995. Classic Hardware is best known for their Retrolite^® and image-based jewelry, as well as their eye-catching vanity cases. The Retrolite^® jewelry collection is her homage to her love of the collectible Bakelite jewelry from the 1920’s.Tempting like candy with a bit of edginess, just like all of Classic Hardware -Accessories with Class and Sass!

Art driven with retro inspiration, Karyn has collaborated with over a dozen talented modern artists to create her completely unique items. Worn by top celebrities and featured in popular TV shows, publications and websites, Classic Hardware has established it’s place in popular culture. She began her business in San Francisco selling to a handful of retailers and soon gained  traction with big accounts  like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Uncommon Goods.  Karyn also does private label work, having created collections for designers Betsey Johnson, Anna Sui and Disney, including Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”, “Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Tinkerbell”.

Karyn also opened a retail store in 2 years ago in the Magnolia Park district of Burbank, CA an area that has been tagged the “Retro Row” and the “New Melrose”. It’s been a  passionate journey, not only creatively but as a long time supporter of Made in USA.
