Re: Purchase of Techno-Industrial Products to Reynolds Advanced Materials, a division of Smooth-On Inc.

Dear valued Techo-Industrial customers,

Techno-Industrial was founded by my father in 1966 to distribute specialty products—most notably those from Smooth-On—and to provide hands-on technical support to industrial customers throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. After 31 years, I have decided to retire.  For the past several years, many larger customers have had their orders directly drop shipped from Smooth-On in Pennsylvania, so that you could be assured of the freshest material.  And so, it makes sense to partner with them and transfer my accounts to them.

Smooth-On has a fully owned distribution network across the United States under the name Reynolds Advanced Materials, which will now serve my valued customers. Their nearest warehouse is in Chicago. In addition to holding ten times the inventory I previously had, they employ a team of knowledgeable, experienced product specialists in-house, as well as outside sales staff who can visit you if you need additional support.

What will change?

• My warehouse will close on September 1st.
• Orders will ship to you from the Chicago branch of Reynolds Advanced Materials.
• You can continue to call the Techno Industrial number (262) 369-1010, which will be ported over to Reynolds on September 1st.

The primary reason I am selling my business to Smooth-On / Reynolds is to ensure that my customers have a sustainable source of Smooth-On products and support.  We all want this transition to be seamless and beneficial to each of you.

It has been an honor and a privilege to partner with you over the past 31 years, and it has brought me great personal satisfaction.  My only wish is that you each continue to thrive in your own business adventures.
