Addition Cure Silicone Rubber Compounds
Smooth-Sil™ 936, 940, 950 & 960 are mixed 100A:10B by weight and are ideal for production molds of any configuration, large or small. Our new Smooth-Sil™ 945 offers the convenience of a 1A:1B by volume mix ratio. These silicone rubbers exhibit good chemical, abrasion and heat resistance. Smooth-Sil™ 936 is a lower viscosity platinum silicone rubber (21,000 cps). It is easier to mix, vacuum degas and pour.
Smooth-Sil™ 940, 950 and 960 are suitable for food related applications. Cured Smooth-Sil™ 945 is skin safe and certified by an independent laboratory.

Smooth-Sil® 950 used to make prototype pieces.
Stelter Creative needed to make investment molds of existing historical prop pieces. It was crucial that the molds reflect every dimension accurately, as the castings would be used in a low-tolerance application. Smooth-Sil® 950 fit the bill perfectly.
Smooth-Sil® 950 was Dead Dog Design's choice of mold rubber which yielded over 100 castings of this football tee prototype in less than 30 days.
