Silicone Thinner™ is a non-reactive silicone fluid that will lower the mixed viscosity of tin cure or platinum cure silicone rubber products. A lower mixed viscosity means that the rubber will de-air faster when vacuuming and will flow better over intricate model detail. Silicone Thinner™ will also lower the ultimate shore hardness (durometer) of cured silicone rubber.

NOTE: Pot life (working time) is increased in proportion to the amount of Silicone Thinner™ used. Ultimate tear and tensile strength are also reduced in proportion, however knotty tear properties of the Mold Max™ series rubbers are unaffected.
