EVA Foam For Cosplay and Props – Postponed Due To COVID-19
The Foam fundamentals class is perfect for the novice costumer or designer that would like to break into EVA and other lightweight plastics for the use of armor and decoration. This class breaks down the process for crafting armor into the most fundamental steps so that participants will leave this class ready to start taking on armor projects with confidence.

Important: Must be 18 years or older to participate. In demonstrating techniques for mold making and casting, we emphasize safety and provide adequate ventilation in our classroom. However, we use materials that may affect certain individuals. If you are pregnant, suffer from breathing disorders (such as asthma) or are sensitized to urethane or epoxy resins, you should not take this class.

-The instructor will cover the basics of patterning before leading into the fundamental tools of the trade.
-Participants will have hands on practice constructing an arm guard with further focus on learning how increase detail by adding and removing material.
-Instructor will cover basic rigging to make sure that participants can wear their project home and apply the same techniques to future builds.
