This workshop is the follow up to the Intro to Basic Moldmaking.
Participants will learn how to make 2-Part Block Mold with keys, vents, and pour spout. (the goal being skill acquisition vs final product to take home). There will be a variety of appropriate items available to mold, but participants can bring an object of your own to try provided the object is smaller than a closed fist and not too complex.

|Where:||1000 Tradeport Blvd #1011, Atlanta 30354|

-Participants will learn what is required when constructing a 2-part mold of a model. (i.e, how to clay up your model for molding, adding keys, vent channels, pour spouts, and parting line determination).
-In depth discourse on the properties of silicones, resin, and urethane elastomers will be included as well as a detailed handout defining intermediate terms and techniques.
-Participants will each begin making their own mold using silicone rubber however due to time allowances this will focus on learning the techniques and skills to make molds in future rather than finishing a full 2-part mold in class.
-We will also discuss Encasement Shell/Mother Molds.
