Silc Pig® Silicone Color Pigments can be added to any Smooth-On tin-cure or platinum-cure silicone rubber or silicone rubber accessory such as Psycho Paint® or Skin Tite® (Do not use with Smooth-On urethane products.) These pigments can be used to create a variety of silicone color effects for a wide range of applications including special effects, prosthetics and orthopedics, making masks, toys, prototypes and many others.

Silc Pig® pigments are concentrated, offer excellent dispersion and consistent color. Silc Pig® pigments are very concentrated and a very small amount of pigment will color a proportionally large amount of silicone. The more you add in proportion to the volume of liquid rubber, the more dramatic the color effect. Recommended loading range is .001% to 3% of total system weight. Do not overload silicone rubber with Silc Pig® or cure inhibition may occur. If this is your first time adding color to a silicone system, it is recommended that you test the color effect by adding a few drops to a small amount of material and observe the outcome.

Silicone systems that do not originally contain color (such as Smooth-On’s Dragon Skin® , Smooth-Sil® 910 or Smooth-Sil® 920) are much easier to color and require less pigment to acheive an effect versus systems containing color.
